Which Fantasy/SciFi Character Are You?

On a more mundane level, I've been so stiff and in pain lately, that hip replacement was starting to look pretty good. I'd gone as far as deciding I would do it in the late spring, to make it as easy as possible on my roomie, who has to pick up the slack around here.

Then, last night - after two days of rest, no commute, and slightly warmer days - I'm bustling around here like a healthy person. No pain. No collapsing knee, only a slight, teeeeensy twinge. Walking at about 3 mph. Seriously.

Forget the surgery. I just need to retire. *digs out a buck for the lottery*

A hip replacement? Yikes! I had no idea that the pain was getting that bad, Kat.
Well, if I win the lottery anytime soon, I promise I'll give you enough money to retire!
LOL! It's not all that bad all the time. Using a cane has helped a LOT. But the cartilage in the hip joint is about 3/4 gone, so I'll need the surgery eventually. Oddly enough, after I had a little physical therapy, it's my stupid knee that hurts more.

If you win the lottery, keep the money for your own retirement. You'll need it!
