A few idle thingies....

Here's a quote after my own heart : "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - chocolate in one hand - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WHOO HOO, WHAT A RIDE!"

I think I have had a weird education, because no one else I've told this story to, except the person who first told it to me, thinks it's funny. Instead, I get blank looks and "Huh?" What he told me was that he has a friend who lives in Oklahoma and tends to exaggerate a bit. The friend told him that there were black snakes on his property, and according to him, they're black mambas. *cracks up* (zora113, at least, might get this.)

Just finished the first two episodes of "Heroes". I'm still not sure of it, but it's good enough for me to keep going a while longer. I find it intriguing and well done. But nothing has really grabbed me yet, and the gore factor is way above my line.

Stress at work is easing off as the learning curve on all my new duties is starting to level. Whew.

I like the quote. Maybe 'cause scars remind me of what I've done, but I'm weird like that.
I didn't get it, but I've just read something online that might have enlightened me. Really, you DOB. :) You should know better than to throw something like this out to me; you know that I'll have to Google it. I'll talk to you in chat.
Hee, of course I get it. I never forget a pop-culture reference. ;-)

I really want to talk to you about "Heroes", but have only been home one night out of the last four. If I come tonight before and after "Avatar", would that be okay?

Odd, I don't remember that much gore in "Heroes" at all... especially compared to other things, like "Deadwood".
