Got this from starwefter ~

Do you talk too much in your blog?

Oh my.

I'm not packed yet. Heck, I'm still adding songs to my MP3 player, mostly because I found a program that converts the *$!%*!* iTunes stuff I downloaded when I was stupid enough to have an iPod. They're protected *snarl*, so until now I couldn't put them on my beloved Zen. Now I can, and the converter works easily, even for a non-media-tech like me. But there sure are a lot of them I want. Coolness - today, the last chance before I leave, I received a CD I ordered from England (a very hard to find, limited edition CD of Basil Poledouris' soundtrack to Flesh+Blood - lousy movie, great soundtrack).

I did go buy my ticket to Dallas, and pick up the ticket to Panama City, today. My mom shocked me - the car they're giving me was $30K when they bought it 10 years ago. Wow.

I also had to drop in at Wal Mart (another one), where I almost got into the same kind of accident - a guy in a car cut his left turn too sharp while I was coming down the right lane, and only missed me by about a foot. Some people drive suicidally.

Randi and I drove the truck to the back and stocked up the grain room. I had to shift 250 lbs from the car to the truck; then move 400 lbs from the truck to the grain room; then move 200 lbs from the truck to the shed. And it is HOT here. So I'm tired. (Or "tarrrrred," as they say here.)

Random observation: One of the things I love best about Idina in Wicked is the way she uses her voice. Kristin's got a fine voice - in fact, there are times I can't tell them apart. But she just... sings. Beautifully, yes. But Idina soars, glides, growls, talks, swoops... there is so much variety in what she does. You can't predict from note to note just where her voice will be. I was thinking about it particularly today because I listened to Wicked yesterday, and today I was listening to Waylon Jennings, who, at what I consider the best part of his career, did the same thing (if not quite as strikingly).

And this from realtach ~
1. Think of the first word that comes to mind when you think of me.
2. Go to Google Images and search for that word.
3. Reply to this post with one of the pictures on the first page of results (don't tell me the word).
4. Put this in your own journal so that I can do the same.

It's rather unfortunate that Apple chose to embrace DRM. It restricts the legitimate user while doing almost nothing to prevent piracy. In your case it forces you to do something illegal under the DMCA just to listen to the music that *you* purchased. Aggravating no?
Word is "Cartoons"....
