Totally frivolous post.

I got a really great review for Prelude on ff.net! Here it is:
Amazing story! I love how you write. My absolute favorite lines are from Vicious: "Better that he's alive. Every man needs a good enemy." I love the foreshadowing in that sentence of Spike and Vicous' relationship. Please update and finish this work of art!
I think I'd better get my Bebop ass in gear.

Also on the writing front, while in chat tonight I thought of one thing that works for me when I get the "OMG this thing sucks and I can't write" blues, something that nearly every writer suffers through and which always seems to hit me in the middle of a book. The thing I do is to remind myself why I am writing about that person - usually a scene or a mood or trait of that character. It's usually something simple - in this case, it's the thought of Harry's intrepid courage and nutso impulsiveness - but I visualize it for a quiet moment, and that re-focuses me and reminds me that this is a story worth telling.

I am in the middle of watching a movie called Black Hawk Down. I'm not big on war movies, although I am enjoying this one. I am watching this one because of the astonishing number of actors in it that I like. Here's the list:
Actors I know and love: Ewan McGregor, William Fichtner, Jason Isaacs, Eric Bana, Sam Shepard, and Orlando Bloom.
Actors I don't know well, but like: Hugh Dancy, Ron Eldard, Ioan Gruffud, Josh Hartnett, and Tom Sizemore.
That's pretty darned impressive for one film!

Okay, okay!
I promise the line by line THIS WEEK! I SWEAR!!
*giggle* I would say that you don't have to do line by line, just, like, page by page, but I know you won't listen to me.
I really loved our chat yesterday. I mean, I always do, but you cheered me up considerably. I love it that you're interested enough in my writing to ask intelligent questions about it. It encourages me greatly.

And yay for a great review! More Bebop is always a good thing!
