I am back to healthy eating after a four month binge. Ah, I did love gorging on all that chocolate and other goodies, but I got a couple of unmistakeable messages from God/Fate/whatever that I should give it up. One was gaining 14 lbs. Another was developing bursitis in my shoulder (at least, that's what I think it is). But the most obvious involved some cinnamon rolls. I dropped one on the floor in the kitchen, and as if that wasn't enough, five minutes later I dropped the others on the floor in my den. The kitchen floor is relatively clean, but the den? The rolls came up covered in dog hair. Any more dog hair, and they would have looked like tribbles. I took that as a sign, and am now back to healthier, if more boring, eating.

Here's something I'd like to know, however. Everything I've read says that muscle mass is heavier than fat. Now, I'm fat - not obese (except clinically), but definitely well padded and rounded. I'm 5'2" and weigh around 200 lbs. What puzzles me is how a 6' heavily muscled football player can weigh less than me. That just makes no sense at all.
