whatever happens

I think I've given myself a chemical poisoning. I thought it was athlete's foot, but after talking to my roomie (who's had athlete's foot) and looking up the symptoms, I'm pretty sure it's not.

We put Sevin Dust in the horses' stalls to keep out the fire ants. I spread it with my bare hands, and it's never done any apparent harm to me or to the horses. However, the other day I accidentally poured water over my foot immediately after spreading the stuff. It does, of course, get all over my feet, and my shoes are a kind of canvas material. So the stuff soaked through the shoe and onto my foot, and remained there for a few hours.

I'm treating it by coating with Bag Balm and covering it with a sock, which actually seems to help. However, I suppose if it's not a lot better by Monday I'll have to see the doctor. *sigh*

But don't anyone worry! It's just an irritation! It's not like I inhaled or ate the stuff!

Yikes! That sounds rather uncomfortable...

Make sure that you visit a doctor if the situation doesn't improve. I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you, dear.
7Dust is the name of a band I like... lol. I was like, "she's putting a band in with the horses...??" ha... XD

Mom says use Aloe Vera (the plant or any lotion thereof) or Banana Boat Aloe Vera gel (its green gelly stuff) - her recommendation. Slather it on and cover it. Thought it does sound like you've got it pretty well under control. Hope you'll heal up fast!! Sounds painful... eep!
I won't need it, as it's almost healed now, but I'll see if I can find some in case I do this again! Aloe vera is good for a lot of things like that, actually.
