I spent a lazy Saturday doing little except watching :

As many times as I've seen Dragonheart - 12? 15? - I still love it as much as when I first saw it. Yes, the awe is gone. That can't be sustained past the first one or two viewings. But the heart, humor, and wonder remain just as strong. I rank this film as one of the very best fantasy films ever, even in such strong competition as The Lord of the Rings and the Narnia Chronicles. If you watch the "making of" featurette on the DVD, you can get a good idea why, because everyone was enthusiastic about it, in particular the director, to whom no detail was insignificant. It has one of the most recognized musical themes from movies, although most people who know the theme don't know where it came from, and the entire soundtrack is gorgeous. (I saw this movie several times in the theater - 5, maybe? - and I went once just for the music.) And the final scene... *SNIFF* I cry every time.

Naturally I had written a Dragonheart fanfic, so after I watched the movie, I went back and re-read that. It's not too bad, and I'm thinking it might actually make a good light fantasy novel, if rewritten so the copyrighted ideas are replaced.

And that was my Saturday. BAD Kat. Now I have to spend Sunday trying to do all my chores plus AL. *cracks whip* Back to work, Kat!!

Hey Kat,
My BF is making me watch Deadwood, lol. I like it so far. I've seen up to the episode "Mr Wu".
I think what cracks me up the most is how the swearing is so eloquently placed in every other line, LOL.
Course I think Al Swearingen certainly does it the best. Hehehe.
I also have a slight crush on Mr Bullock. He's cute and such a do gooder.
