A long time ago, back when Disney started putting out DVDs (a time which many of my flist won't remember....), there were only two series from the old Disney shows that I wanted to have on DVD. But I wanted those two desperately.
One was The Fighting Prince of Donegal, and as you know if you read this LJ, that came out not long ago, to my complete delight.
The other was The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh - and that just came out. Unlike The Fighting Prince, The Scarecrow isn't just a plain DVD. It was considered - rightly - to be one of the best, if not THE best, of the Disney series. It's out in a limited edition (I believe it's 36,500 copies only) in a metal box, and I got it today. I can't wait for the weekend so I can see it again!
I am now contented. :)

"The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh" is based on an English legend. It's a Robin Hood story - the Scarecrow (he's disguised as a scarecrow to hide his secret identity) robs from the English tax collectors, etc., to help the poor.
Both are very good, vintage Disney.
