whatever happens

This has not been a good week.

The worst is that I broke my ereader. It's physical damage to the screen, which is not covered by the warranty (which ended in 90 days anyway). That's $300 down the drain. However, I am going to look at the bright side (even if, in this case, that is very hard!). Sony had just released a new and better version, but I didn't buy it because it was $50-70 more and there were no accessories for it. I really wanted some of the features, so by the time I've saved enough to get a new one (September or October, I guess), I'll be able to get things I want for it. AND I'll get a hardcase. *whimper*

On a lower scale, I dyed my hair what I thought was the usual color today (a kind of golden light brown). I noticed the stuff in the sink seemed dark, but I didn't think much of it at the time. Well, it was dark - my hair is now a definite brown. Almost dark brown. I'm not sure if I'll like it or not - probably not, judging by the expression on my roomie's face when she saw it - but I emailed Clairol and complained and demanded a refund. Still, I'm stuck with this color for at least two weeks, which is the minimum I think I should allow before dying it again. However, to see the bright side, maybe this will convince me that I don't ever want to dye my hair black, which I'm often tempted to do.

On a lower scale yet, it's rained a lot lately, which is great for grass and hay, but means I'm going back and forth to the barn in mud - every step I took this morning (and there are a lot of steps for an arthritic woman going 70+ yards in mud), I either slipped, slid, or got stuck. Lots of fun. But, on the bright side, the horses are getting their fill of green.

That is a bit of a sucky week - but at least it can get better, right? I really like dark hair, but I've always been blonde.
Awww, that sucks about your ereader. :(

I was tempted for year to do mine black and finally got the courage to do it. I absolutely love it and probably will stay with this hair color for a long time.

This is why I'm reluctant to allow Danny to buy an ereader. He manhandles most of his electronic gadgets at the best of times...
Aw, that's too bad about your e-reader!

Long ago, when I started to go grey and wasn't ignoring it *g*, I had a similar experience. The color on the box looked very similar to my original color which was a light golden brown - in fact, I think that was the color. The stuff looked like chocolate pudding, and I kept thinking "I'm not too sure about this" and I was right. My hair was very dark brown. At least it was semi-permanent, so I got rid of it in a month or so.

Be careful in that mud! No more injuries!

Oh, and I love your layout! Is it an LJ one, or did someone make it for you?

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear about that Ereader! What a major drag! :( You're always good at looking on the bright side, even when things get exceptionally irritating. I hope next week is much better for you.
