This was not a good weekend.

My Internet went out. It seems to be, at best guess, that the modem has died. They're supposed to bring me a new one today, so I hope to be back online tonight, but I'm not holding my breath.

Rose, my horse, is lame. She's stumbling and slipping in the mud, seemingly unable to move her hind feet forward hardly at all. I noticed it last night, but this morning it was worse. My roomie said it may be a stroke, but Rose also has a swollen hock, so more likely she slipped badly or fell, and has wrenched her hocks and her back. Still, it's painful to watch her, and if she's still lame tonight, we'll keep her in her stall for a day or two and let her rest. She'll hate that, but what else can we do? Except give her medicine, which of course we will.

The Colts lost. Badly. And I forgot to tape the game until my roomie came home from work and reminded me, so I missed the first quarter entirely. ARGH. And watching it this week won't be much fun. Not that I don't like the Saints, and not that I'm unhappy they won, but still... *sigh* Now all I need is to hear that the Who sucked....

Poor Rose! I hope she'll get better very soon... ♥
God ... your internet, and Rose as well? With all the mud you've said you've had, it could easily be that she slipped and hurt herself. Please, god, let it be that...

The Who didn't suck -- they were totally awesome. Wonderful show! And the Colts didn't lose badly, the Saints had to work their asses off for this one. Possibly the best, and tightest Superbowl, I've watched -- though I've missed them in recent years a lot. Seems like usually the score is 100 to zip at the end of the 1st qtr. and just gets farther apart, till it ends up about 2,000 to 0. This one was a thriller.
Best of wishes for Rose to be ok!! Poor thing... :(

Meanwhile though, I quite enjoyed the Who's performance, and thought of you the whole time. :)
The crap just keeps falling, doesn't it? *hugs you*

I hope your internet gets restored soon and with as little trouble/cost as possible. I hope there's nothing seriously wrong with Rose, but I send healing vibes, poor girlie. Didn't watch the Superbowl at all, but that's no surprise, is it? ;)
