Randi report:

She's doing pretty well. She isn't speaking (probably because she's sore from the intubation), but she easily understands everything that's said to her. Her left side is very strong, and her right leg is stronger. No movement in her right arm yet, but there is reaction.

Are you going to be all alone on your birthday? :( Well...WE'LL be here for you, at least. And I guess having Randi through the surgery and recovering steadily is a pretty good birthday present.

MAN, I wish I was there to take you out for a Big Bash Birthday Thanksgiving! Much to be thankful for, in a sideways kind of way.

I will be alone on my birthday - unless we get lucky and they move Randi out of the ICU and into a room on that day, which is possible. Then I'll go down and see her. Either way, though, birthday hugs from all my friends would be lovely.
