Randi update: Ouch.

She's making good progress still, but she won't be home in a few weeks as we thought. It'll be months. Months! They'll be moving her to a rehab facility (as opposed to the rehab part of the hospital, where she is now) around Jan 3rd, and she'll have to stay there until she's able to take care of herself. Even if I could stay home to take care of her, I'm not strong enough. And of course I'm not - I'm out of the house from 5:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

So now I have to research rehab facilities, find one that I can visit and that will treat her right, and arrange somehow to get the finances into my hands so the bills can be paid. I have to admit, when I got hit with that today, I was pretty overwhelmed, but it was mostly the shock. I'll deal with it. I have good friends to help! :)

I suppose it goes without saying, but I'm going to say it anyway. My offer to help still stands! Please let me know if there's anything I can do.

*HUGS* Thinking about you guys all the time!
There's really nothing anyone can do for me, except what you (and my other friends) are already doing - uncomplainingly allowing me to whine, giving me sympathy, and sending me good thoughts and prayers. I'm awfully glad I have you to lean on!
Well, I'm glad she's making good progress. Sucks that this is going to go on for months, but you want her to recover in the best care possible. Take care, I'll keep you guys in my prayers.
Wish I could be more help to you. You and Randi are always in my thoughts and I keep sending that good energy your way! ♥
*hug* Months sounds like a long time, but it will pass in no time.
holy #^%&*$

I'm so sorry it's taking so long. But brain injuries take their time to heal, and she needs good help to do it. She will be in good hands. If you need help finding a *good* rehab facility, let me know. We're dealing with some pretty horrible medical things in our family right now, too, so we've been doing some research....

Maybe some of it can help Randi, too.

hugs and love...
We're probably sending her to Traymore. Have you heard anything about that place? On the Web and on the phone it seems good, and one of my faculty members gave it a high rating. What's going on in your family?? Whatever it is, it'll probably make me feel lucky.
