bring me that horizon

I saw the retina specialist today, and my retina is OK. Whew. What I'm experiencing is called Posterior Vitreous Detachment (or something like that), and it's normal for people my age. However, he looked at me and said, "You're different." He said he'd never seen PVD in this stage before. (WTF?) So he wants to keep a close eye on me, and I have an appointment for next month.

I visited my old job and coworkers. It was pretty gratifying - everyone was delighted to see me, and at least three people asked if I was coming back to work. (One, Dr. Marciano, said that I could have a job in her lab any time.) But I was still relieved to get away again. God, I so love being retired.

I'm so glad and relieved! I'm also glad he's going to keep an eye on it, but it sounds like it's more of an annoyance than anything sight-threatening. ♥

I am also glad that your co-workers showed you proper appreciation. It's so nice to not be there, but it's also nice to know that you're missed. *^_^*

I will email you soon. I've been really sick for a few days, and haven't had the energy to write anything that requires thought. ;)
Don't you really love it when they say, "Wow, you have something new and different?" It's up there with "You'll be glad to know only one in a thousand have _____" whatever it is they just told you you've got.

I'm glad it isn't worse though.
